At the scheduled time, our professional Starlink installers arrived onsite and performed multiple obstruction tests to identify the best location for installing the Starlink dish.

The Starlink Dish was installed using a custom non-penetrating roof mount, secured with concrete ballast blocks to ensure stability in high-wind conditions. A pipe adapter was used to elevate the dish, providing optimal line-of-sight for satellite connectivity.

The technician neatly routed the 45-meter Starlink cable from the rooftop down the exterior wall, securing it with cable clamps. It was then pass through the building wall to the designated indoor location, where it connects to power supply and a third-party router for network distribution.

Starlink Optimization and Testing

The technician performed a Starlink alignment test after installation to ensure the dish is properly aligned. The dish must have an unobstructed view (especially to the north in the northern hemisphere or south in the southern hemisphere) to maintain strong, uninterrupted connectivity. In setups with a non-penetrating roof mount, there may be surrounding units (like HVACs or walls) that affect signal. The alignment test ensures that the dish is in the best unobstructed view.

The technician performed the Starlink Speed Test to evaluate the connection’s performance. The test provides key metrics like download speed, upload speed, and latency. It’s important to note that Starlink can take up to 12 hours to synchronize with the satellite network fully.
