Our Starlink installation SMEs received a service request from a homeowner in Wasilla, AK who wanted a professional Starlink rooftop installation. We conducted the the initial offsite assessment—consisting of our initial phone consultation, multiple email exchanges, and a careful review of the installation requirements. It was determined that a Onsite Site Survey Phase would not be necessary for this project.
The client provided clear photos of their home and preferred installation locations, performed the Obstruction Test using the Starlink App and confirmed that multiple installation points showed no obstructions. They also confirmed receipt of the Starlink Standard Kit and a Pivot Mount, both purchased directly from Starlink.com.
Moving to schedule actual installation!
Starlink Standard Kit
In addition, the customer measured the required cable run from the dish to the router location and verified that the included 15 meter/59ft proprietary Starlink cable would suffice. They also identified an existing low-voltage data cabling path (not near any high-voltage lines), which could safely accommodate the Starlink cable without the need for new Cable Routing Kits. Only a resealing of the existing pass-through with silicone sealant or fire caulk would be required.
After the initial offsite assessment, we received the customer’s approval for the job order and move to schedule with our professional Starlink installation services in Wasilla, AK
Our Starlink installation team arrived on-site to perform the following scope of work:
✅Install the Starlink Standard kit using the Pivot mount
✅ Best Starlink cable path from the Starlink dish to the indoor Gen3 Wi-Fi mesh router.
✅ Activate & configure the Starlink Gen3 WiFi mesh router.
✅Guide the customer on how to use the Starlink App.
✅Test and document the installations with photos.
To kick-off the installation process, we performed an inventory review of Starlink equipment and other miscellaneous items, installation parts/materials for hassle-free and smooth Starlink installation in Wasilla, AK.
Performed the Obstructions Test on the Starlink App to confirm NO OBSTRUCTIONS at the installation point. Securely mounted the Starlink Standard dish on the rooftop using the Starlink (not the cheap knock-offs) Pivot Mount
Routed the Starlink cable from Starlink dish to the indoor location of the Gen3 WiFi Mesh router. Connect the Starlink cable and power adaptor to the router, turned on and configured the settings. We waited for the Starlink to fully synch (this can take 20 minutes to 12 hours once Starlink is installed) . Then performed the Starlink Alignment test, to ensure that the dish is correctly oriented to achieve optimal satellite connectivity. The alignment test verified that the selected installation point had a clear line of sight to the Starlink satellite constellation, confirming minimal latency and maximum signal reliability.
Then, the Speed test was conducted to test the system’s internet performance. It’s important to note that Starlink can take up to 12 hours to synchronize with the satellite network fully.
This Starlink setup is performing very well, delivering high-speed and low-latency internet access. The results confirm that the system is well-aligned and installed in a location with a clear line of sight to the satellites.
